CABINETS
"The initial idea that lead me to express myself by painting furniture pursued the searching of an interactive art work. This artwork is easier to go around, and to get closer than an object, or a sculpture. Once, I remembered in one of the many interesting and intense conversations that I usually had with my close friend Mauricio Vechione about the idea of painting the bottom of a swimming pool and he advised me to do it "… It would be like swimming above the artwork…" Since then, I realized the importance and meaning of it and I also know the way I wish my art work would be. Furniture painting may have more to do with an imaginary sensation insight. This sensation is represented in my mind like a lost glance through an open place, as travelling or being like a bird".

OTHERS
"Using other objects like stools, bars, tables and mirrors have more to do with seeking something I haven’t discovered yet. It may be an approach to sculpture art. Fortunately, I’m still looking for to discover it".

SANS PARAPLUIE
"Sans Parapluie, in French means without an umbrella, was create in a 3 year-trip around different countries. It was an inspiring experience that allowed me to find a sensitive meaning, an existing way of representation of my painting, which I had been developing since my childhood. In one of the many flea markets I visited in California I bought a wooden carved duck which was made in India on one piece of wood. This duck became an icon for me. Where I went the wooden duck had traveled with me. When I came back to Argentina in 2004, I felt more stable in the huge sense of it and I was willing to start expressing all the moments that I had lived during the 3 year trip in my paintings. So I placed the duck outdoors, precisely in my Buenos Aires house garden. This occurred during April, which is one of the rainiest months of the year. The duck stayed outdoors and I called it "the duck without an umbrella". It was in that moment when I decided to start signing as Sans Parapluie."
